First, let me say again how great I think the cue system really is. I especially like its flexibility: you can use it to write some long, possibly rigid, arrangements or songs, or juste automate some changes while letting you manually perform other changes, etc. Very smart.
If I am correct, when a cue is playing, if you stop the clock then start it again, it resumes at the beginning of the cue step it was in. This is true whether you are in the cue editor or somewhere else.
Now if you want to start again from the beginning of the whole cue, not just the last cue step it was in, you can hit cue + # – but this is not working when you are working in the cue editor (where cue + # is used to change the cue you wanna work on, not the cue playing). So, unless I missed something, the only way to start at the beginning of the cue again is to leave the cue editor, launch you cue, and the go back in the cue editor etc: it is not very convenient.
So it would be nice if there was a way to command a “sart at the first step of cue” (the one you are working on or another one, why not) without living the cue editor. If I may suggest: currently, when in the cue editor, simply hitting a key of the mini keyboard does nothing. So how about : hitting a key of the keyboard is what let you choose the cue you want to work on, and cue + # is instead the command to play a cue from the beginning, exactly as anywhere else?
Now, what would be even better
: having the possibility to sart or restart playback from the cue step that is currently highlited in the cue you are working on. When working on complex or long cues, typically a whole arrangement, or a very intricate movement, that would be invaluable, because even starting from the beginning here is not always convenient – sometimes not at all. (Shift + clock comes to my mind).
Thanks!
