My PolyPulse will be here next week! I have watched videos and read chunks of the manual but no real world experience yet. What was your strategy for learning this lovely box?
My plan is to first focus on the pulse generation and come to grips with that. Obviously, I will need some notes in a note list for sound generation but after understanding the pulse sequencer I will work on the note list and polyphony more. It seems like the synthesis engines are pretty easy to understand and modulation seems easy. I think understanding how it deals with samples will be easier with the machine in front of me. From there I can learn how to connect events together. It’s pretty easy to type this out as a plan but the terminology for PolyPulse is pretty different and there are shift key combos to learn along the way. What gives me hope that I can learn it in a few weeks is that the menus don’t seem like there are a lot of layers/pages to work through so most of the work is understanding the terminology, trying things out and memorizing a few button combinations. How does this generally sound as an approach?
Thanks!
