Polypulse keyboard velocity

Hi Ward,
Polypulse keyboard velocity is static.
But is there a way to set/change the Polypulse keyboard global velocity (or loudness) ?

The velocity of notes played by MIDI is currently indeed unused. Notes are triggered with a dB / loudness value of -6.0.

I’ve put it on my to do list to add a way to map MIDI velocity to the note dB.

Also interesting to know: in the note list editor when adding new notes it copies type/dBFS/chance values of the previously selected note.

For example: if you’re adding multiple notes and you want them all to be -2.0 dBFS:

  • add the first note
  • change the dBFS value of the first note to -2.0
  • add the rest of the notes

This saves you a bit of time because you don’t have to change the dBFS value of all notes after adding them.

In next update you can set per track the MIDI in velocity 0 and MIDI in velocity 127. With this you can set how MIDI velocity is mapped to note loudness in dBFS.

You can also set this for the note list editor in [settings] under note list. The parameter values are stored in projects.
