Hi!
First; Sincere congratulations to team Lambada for making such a spectacular instrument !
I dont own a PolyPulse, but I have followed it very closely & I’ve been waiting for someone to craft a sonic samuary live groove station for a very long time, more so as in a sampler with synthesis but this thing is just cosmic that I just have to swing it this way
I’ve researched so many groove boxes and own and dearly love a spectralis (a unit that never really got its OS finish) … I almost feel like this is the evolution of what I wanted the spectralis is to be.
Very impressed by the sound of the unit, its stunningly good, like Jomox level good and compared to every other mordern groove box out there it sounds like a real instrument, with analog or acoustic like quality to it. All the others; Elektron, MPC, Roland, NI, Polyend; all have this ITB boxed sound, they have their character but still sound very rounded /dithered or boxed for a better word, it gives them this virtual or band limited/compressed smear like characteristics, even the recent OP XY which is the clearest and most detailed digital sampler I’ve ever heard suffers from this very clean/ dithered CPU digital sound playing back the sum of all its parts.
So I dont know what Ward /Lambada team did, or where the magic lies, but this machine just sounds next level, it’s all digital but the engines and FX all have amazing sonic imprint and life. Even the samples have space, clarity and dimension not common to digital only samplers.
Ward seems like a young guy and it’s quite amazing to come out swinging with such a sound, it has Euro rack quality to it and reminds me a lot of MI in how lively it is at the core. Same for the FX from what I’ve heard; they sound of superb are very liquid/ alive and spectral
So yhea; The most dynamic digital unit I’ve ever heard and Im thrilled by the ‘‘live oriented design’’ and the exotic river of unicorns that run note list and pulses into a wolrd of nu-grooves
It’s not often nowadays that an instrument comes along that can create or re-invent new musical genders but the PolyPulse candidate this as its forte.
I’m here to learn more and hope to participate with some features and suggestion that I think the unit would benefit from (I’ve been counseling such for two decades) and would love to have one and preform on a PolyPulse in the coming future
Thank you so sincerely; Ward and team Lambada for such an incredible instrument!
Looking forward too it!
Much love
