I can get my sequences to trigger notes on Tracks 2-5 but Track 1 is not triggering any sounds from the sequencer. I can get sound from the keyboard keys. I noticed that the led is dimmer on track 1 than the other tracks when I am trying to use it. I got my PolyPulse as a B stick unit so it had been used.
What setting do I need to change in order to get Track 1 working?
Thanks!
The LED brightness is set by the track volume as an indicator whether you should be able to hear that track. Possibly this is unrelated to not being able to trigger notes from the sequencer.
Could it be that the start or length parameter are the cause of the problem?
Start sets the first tick after a reset after which notes can trigger, and length sets for how many ticks notes can trigger after that. If you enable start and length (by setting them to anything other than 0) and you haven’t set a seq reset, you will not hear notes after the sequencer has passed the length period, and because the sequencer does not reset that will be until you manually restart the clock.
So maybe try setting start, length and reset all to 0 and see if the sequencer can trigger.
Thanks, I was able to get track 1 going with your advice. It was strange though, I would set everything to 0 and mysteriously one of the parameters would have a value again. This occurred a few times. I need to dig out an Ethernet cable and update to the latest FW and see how everything acts afterwards.
I have a network connection to the PolyPulse Manager. I have downloaded the 3.8 firmware but all the Managers sees is 3.6 firmware.
I have been able to upload a ton of samples and I see those in my files on my PolyPulse so the Manager is working with the PolyPulse.
Any suggestions around what I am missing?
Make sure the name of the firmware zip you download from the forum is unchanged. It has to start with polypulse-firmware- and end with .zip, otherwise the PolyPulse cannot distinguish it from any other zip archive or file. By default the firmware updates I post on the forum have that name, but possibly you or your computer/browser change it.
