What about Patch FX?

Hi Ward

I don’t understand the Patch FX.
Is it possible to root for example in quad engine : kick to output 1; snare to output 2, ratchet to output 3, hh to output 4 ?
When I solo each track : kick = input 1 / snare = input 3 / ratchet = input 5 and hh = input 7. OK
if I send kick to output 1 it’s ok but If I send it to output 6 : no sound. And If I send it to output 8 : I have sound even if I havent connected any cable… I m lost. What is this “patch” for ? And how does is work ?

Thank you

So to connect the quad engine parts to output 1/2/3/4 you need to set the following connections to true:

1 → 1
3 → 2
5 → 3
7 → 4

Then it should look like this:

Does that work for you?

Thank you

That’s what I did, but it was behaving the way I explained on the message. I have tried to “true” every single output with just one input and I didn’t have the same result

kick to output 1 it’s ok but If I send it to output 6 : no sound. And If I send it to output 8 : I have sound even if I havent connected any cable…

I will try in a new project in case this one is corrupt…

Is there another panner (stereo or mono) on the track? Or in the output FX chain?

Delays (if set to pingpong mode) and reverb also mix channels somewhat. Maybe turn down the send and check again?

Nope

I made a clean FX Patch. I will do some test again on an empty project. Tonight problably

I ll be back to you ASAP

If you make a slow pattern with kick/snare/clap/hihat at different times, you can also check the output FX chain [shift]+[FX] VU meters to see at what outputs you see signal activity?
